A different kind of travelogue. As an avid young traveller I often wondered what would it would be like when I got older, gathered commitments, created children and accrued debt. This is what it's like.
The hair is getting big. The Chilli tolerance is growing. The bags are getting smaller. In fact we are already chucking stuff out. Turns out we could go lighter. We have about 25 Kg between the 4 of us. But that includes four sleeping bags/quilts (SeatoSummit, HammockGear and Arrowhead), two hammocks (Hummingbirds) with Mosquito nets, two tarps (Go-Lite Poncho Tarp & Z-Packs Custom Poncho Tarp), too many shoes, one computer but not enough kid books. Cormac is devouring the books we brought and finding a book for an 8 year old is a bit harder than one for “grown up”.
I’m trying to get him to write book reviews but he has a bit of the immovable object about him.
This is a wee list of the places we have spent our nights for the benefit of all the folks that keep asking me where we are now. (Oddly Twitter cannot work with my present internet set up but most everything else can?)
