Less Baggage Less Stuff Less Procrastination

A different kind of travelogue. As an avid young traveller I often wondered what would it would be like when I got older, gathered commitments, created children and accrued debt. This is what it's like.

Aoifes International Menagerie #1; Vietnam & Chim Lac

There are a few different symbols for Vietnam. The one that I’m doing is called a Chim Lac Bird. Screen Shot 2015-05-03 at 8.18.41 am Appearing on Vietnam’s ancient Đông Sơn bronze drums, the Chim Lac Bird is a mythical creature. The Vietnamese myth says that this bird represents the Vietnamese spirit, and it’s a symbol of the guardian angel who watches over Vietnam and carries ancient people on its’ back. The Chim Lac Bird has an interesting shape – a super long beak, crested head, a huge tail and cute, little, flappy wings. Though it is said to be quite large. Screen Shot 2015-05-03 at 8.25.46 am
